Biografie Syl & Dan
Mit akustischer Gitarre, zwei Stimmen und Querflöte starteten die beiden Musiker Sylvia Noel und Daniel Wiegand im Jahr 2007 unter dem Namen „Syl & Dan“ ihre gemeinsame musikalische Reise. Beide waren seit ihrer frühen Jugend als Musiker in vielfältigsten Bands und Projekten aktiv, aber die gemeinsame Arbeit sollte sich als die Erfüllung entpuppen.
Und das nicht nur musikalisch, denn aus dem Duo wurde schnell ein Paar und eine Familie. Diese erforderte auch nach einem anfänglich sehr schwungvollen Start mit eigener Band und vielen Konzerten sowie CD-Produktion eine Richtungsänderung des musikalischen Schaffens von „Syl & Dan“. Ihre eigenen Lieder gerieten ein wenig in den Hintergrund, dafür wurden unzählige Stunden der Unterhaltungsmusik gewidmet, welche das Duo ernährte. Nebenbei lernten die zwei, was es heißt, ihren Gästen einen unvergesslichen Abend zu bieten und spielten sich als Musiker perfekt aufeinander ein.
Der perfekte Harmoniegesang, gefühlvolle Lieder und berührende Geschichten bilden heute die Grundlage ihrer Konzerte, mit welchen die beiden sympathischen Musiker ihre Fans begeistern und stetig neue Musikliebhaber für ihre Musik begeistern können. Denn seit 2022 haben „Syl & Dan“ beschlossen, wieder ihren anfänglichen Weg einzuschlagen und sich auf ihre Wurzeln zu besinnen.
Das Duo bleibt den eigenen Kompositionen treu, die einen einmaligen Stil entfalten. Der erste hört darin Folk-Pop, der zweite Chanson und der dritte eine Mischung aus Rock und keltisch angehauchter Musik. Egal in welche Schublade „Syl & Dan“ gesteckt wird, es ändert nichts daran, dass die Musik des Duos über die Jahre zu etwas Eigenständigem und Unverwechselbaren gewachsen ist, das die Menschen berührt und glücklich macht. Ob in englischer Sprache, Deutsch oder Französisch – „Syl & Dan“ sind authentisch und vereinen ihre deutschen, englischen und belgischen Wurzeln in Liedern voller Schönheit, Anmut und Harmonie.

Biography Syl & Dan
With acoustic guitar, two voices and flute, the two musicians Sylvia Noel and Daniel Wiegand started their musical journey together in 2007 as „Syl & Dan“. Both have been active as musicians in a wide variety of bands and projects since their early youth, but working together should turn out to be fulfilling.
And not just musically, because the duo quickly became a couple and a family. After an initially very lively start with their own band and many concerts as well as CD production, this required a change of direction in the musical work of „Syl & Dan“. Their own songs faded into the background, so countless hours were devoted playing popular music that fed the duo. At the same time, the two learned what it means to offer their guests an unforgettable evening and as musicians they perfectly attuned to each other.
The perfect harmony singing, soulful songs and touching stories form the basis of their concerts today, with which the two likeable musicians inspire their fans and constantly inspire new music lovers for their music. Because since 2022 „Syl & Dan“ have decided to go back to their original path and to reflect on their roots.
The duo remains true to their own compositions, which develop a unique style. Some call it folk pop, others chanson or a mixture of rock and Celtic music. No matter which drawer „Syl & Dan“ is put into, it doesn’t change the fact that their music has grown over the years into something independent and unmistakable that touches people and makes them happy. Whether in English, German or French – „Syl & Dan“ are authentic and unite their German, English and Belgian roots in songs full of beauty, grace and harmony.
